Child Nurturing & Youth Development Program
CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Most learnings happen in the first 3 -4 years of a child. Thus, Alay Pag-asa invested in Early Childhood Education. The main objective is to provide quality education (to underprivileged children from 3 to 4 years of age) that transforms the child’s values while promoting academic, social, and spiritual growth.
FEEDING PROGRAM
APCFI provides nutritious and healthy meals for children in the Child Development Center every weekday. The children’s parents/guardians are in charge of cooking, cleaning, and serving the food. Also, we conduct training on Health and Nutrition for the parents and guardians of all APCDC beneficiaries. This Program is a partner with Convoy of Hope Philippines and Century Pacific.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
Alay Pag-asa works with underprivileged children and youth. This program recognized the need for continuing formal education to achieve holistic growth in knowledge and skills anchored on Christian values and ensure positive development in the lives of children and youth.
Besides the educational support, a social worker conducts Life Group Sessions at least twice a month. Each month, a new topic is discussed with the children & and youth in the program. Each session is designed to teach and coach each beneficiary in all areas of life and empower them to live out their purpose and develop their God-given potential. This program has 48 EAP beneficiaries ages 6 – 22 years old.
Family Empowerment And Development Program
This program consists of different learning and training activities that are geared toward the enrichment of family relationships, effective performance of one’s roles and responsibilities, and the upliftment of the spiritual, physical, psycho-social, and economic well-being of adult members of the family, especially the parents, to ensure that every child is brought up in a safe, secure, Godfearing and loving home environment.
